Chandrakant Patil Initiates Ward-wise Civic Issue Reviews Kothrud Constituency

Kothrud, 28th October 2023: MLA and Higher Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, following comprehensive constituency-wide assessments, has initiated a detailed review of civic concerns at the assembly constituency level in Pune.

During these focused reviews, Patil, an influential figure, directed civic officials to expedite action on various pressing issues, including traffic congestion, waterways, sewerage lines, and the construction of boundary walls along drains.

 

Patil affirmed his commitment to monthly evaluations of civic issues in each area, emphasizing a proactive approach to effectively address resident complaints. Notably, residents of Erandwane-Happy Colony ward number 13 conveyed their grievances to Patil during a dedicated meeting, prompting immediate discussions and directives.

 

The gathering saw the presence of key officials, including Additional Commissioner Ravindra Binwade, Deputy Commissioners Santosh Warule and Asha Raut, Ward Officer Rajesh Gurram, Sewerage Superintendent Engineer Shridhar Yevlekar, along with political representatives such as Puneet Joshi, Sandeep Khardekar, and former corporators Deepak Pote, Jayant Bhave, and Manjushree Khardekar.

 

Issues highlighted during the meeting encompassed traffic congestion, internal water lines, sewage problems, encroachments in garbage depots, and unauthorized meat shops specifically within the Swapnashilp and Tara Residency areas. Patil underscored the urgency in addressing these concerns, stressing the immediate resolution of these challenges.

 

Patil called for the prompt removal of encroachments in the Swapnashilp and Tara Residency areas, urging the construction of boundary walls along the drain. He advocated community involvement if the municipal corporation faced obstacles in these tasks. Additionally, Patil emphasized the importance of connecting internal water channels and sewage lines in society to the main channels and the urgency of eliminating an unauthorized garbage depot at Bhujbal Bagh.

 

The comprehensive meeting, chaired by Patil, highlighted the critical nature of these civic issues, emphasizing the need for swift and effective solutions for the welfare of the residents.
