CHANGE OF COMMAND AT AIR FORCE STATION LOHEGAON, PUNE

Air Commodore Rahul Bhasin Vayu Sena Medal took over as Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Lohegaon, Pune with effect from 12 Nov 18 from Air Commodore KV Surendran Nair who heads out to Advance Headquarters Western Air Command.

Commissioned into the Fighter Stream of IAF on 16 Jun 1990, Air Commodore Rahul Bhasin VM is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy. He is a qualified flying instructor and a graduate of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.

The Air Officer has rich experience as a Course Officer in College of Defence Management and has commanded an operational Fighter Squadron. He was also the Chief Operations Officer of a premier Air Force Station.

The Air Officer is married to Wing Commander (Mrs.) Neeraj Charak Bhasin, a serving Medical Officer in IAF. The couple is blessed with a son pursuing higher studies.
