City Celebrates its first ‘Social Media Day’ with bash
Pune , July 1 : Renowned speakers are giving lectures on some serious topics… hundreds of young ignited minds are listening to them… surprisingly, this is not the scene of any college classroom… but the pupils were sitting at a cafe and the occasion was celebration of social media day ! City witnessed it’s first ever ‘Social Media Day’ celebration in a very unique style.
Every year, Mashable celebrates 30th June as a social media day worldwide. Following this tradition, this year, Social Champs Media Pvt. Ltd in association with SETU Digital Celebrated City’s first ‘Mashable Social Media Day’ at Classic Rock Coffee Co. in Kalyani Nagar. Hundreds of people were present on this occasion.
Prominent personalities like Tanvi Bhatt, personal branding pioneer of India, Kiruba Shankar, social media Entrepreneur, Gautam Ghosh, an employer branding consultant and the well known ad-guru Pralhad kakkar spoke on different topics, mainly related to ‘Social Media’.
Ad guru Pralhad Kakkar explained the art of story-telling in the digital space using social media. Tanvi Bhatt spoke on ‘Social Thought Leadership’. Then Kiruba Shankar underlined the importance and need of podcasting while Gautam ghosh also shared his life experiences with the youth.
All the key note speakers underlined that Social Media is actually like double edged sword. You can use it for constructive as well as destructive purpose. Its upto you, how you use it. Using social media as your ‘branding tool’ is the best way of utilising this virtual world. LinkedIn, Twitter, personal blog are some of the social networking sites which could be used for your own branding. Once you become brand, you are the leader.
