Close encounters rule the day at Third Edition of “PYC Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy” Invitation Under-19 Cricket Tournament
Pune, February 10, 2021: Close encounters were the highlight of the day as Deccan Gymkhana and Club of Maharashtra scored close wins in their league encounters at the Third edition of the “PYC-Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy” Invitation Under-19 Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played on Nehru Stadium, PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Deccan Gymkhana grounds.
In the matches played today Deccan Gymkhana edged out Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy by 8 runs while club of maharashtra carved out a 1 wicket win over Ambitious cricket club . In the third match of the day Cadence notched their second win overcoming Combined District team by 3 wickets .
Cadence: opening partnership of 98 runs in 87 balls between Arshin Kulkarni(94 runs), and Atharva Dharmadhikari(47runs) laid the foundation for Cadence to chase 236 runs set by Combined Districts . cadence made 239 runs for loss of 7 wickets setting up a 3 wicket win
Batting first Deccan Gymkhana was bowled out for 149 runs , but their bowlers bowled out Varroc Vengsarkar Cricket Academy team for 141 runs and winning by 8 runs
In a group B match Ambitious Sports Club of as bowled out for 148 runs , but Club of Maharashtra: made 149 runs for loss of 9 wickets with 8 balls to spare
