CM Fadnavis gives nod for online lottery for allotment of Houses under PMAY

Mumbai, July 4th, 2019 – The annual budget of Rs. 1529 crore for various development works within Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) area was given a nod during fifth meeting of the NMRDA. The meeting was held at Sahyadri Guest House and was presided by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. The meeting also gave it’s nod for online lottery system and reservation policy for allotting houses built under Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in NMRDA area.

The guardian minister for Nagpur Chandrashekhar Bavankule, Minister of state for Urban Development Yogesh Sagar, Nagpur mayor Nanda Jichkar, MLA Milind Mane were present for the meeting.

Chief Minister Fadnavis sanctioned the budget for completing various projects in time which fall within NMRDA areas. Various projects worth Rs. 1300 crores including building 4325 houses worth Rs. 422 crores under PMAY scheme, Koradi pilgrimage place development worth Rs. 221 crores, Tajbaug Dargah development plan worth Rs. 132 crores, Police housing project worth Rs. 145 crores, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar convention center worth Rs. 114 crores, Deeksha Bhoomi development Rs. 109 crores, Futala lake musical fountain Rs. 100 crores are under progress. The meeting gave sanction for budget of Rs. 1529 crores for completing all these works in addition to a few other development works.

The meeting gave nod for online selling of houses built under PMAY and also gave nod for the reservation policy for the allotment of houses. According to it, scheduled caste 11 per cent, scheduled Tribes 6 per cent, differently able 5 per cent, Nagpur Development Trust employees 2 per cent and state Government/ semi-Government employees 5 per cent reservation is finalized. The meeting also decided to allot houses from reserved categories to general open category if eligible beneficiaries are not available and allot the houses through lottery system.

The meeting also decided to sanction recruitment of 156 officers and employees necessary for NMRDA by appointment on deputation. A presentation on the emblem of the NMRDA was also made before the meeting.

The additional chief secretary for housing development Sanjay Kumar, Principal secretary to urban development department Nitin Karir, Manisha Mhaiskar, Nagpur divisional commissioner Sanjeev Kumar, Nagpur municipal corporation Commissioner Abhijeet Bangar, NMRDA metropolitan Commissioner Sheetal Teli-Ugale were also present for the meeting.
