COEP’s Impressions’24: A Celebration of Creativity and Togetherness

Pune, 16th December 2024: Since its inception in 2016, COEP Technological University’s annual cultural festival, Impressions, has grown into a beacon of artistic expression and creativity. With the motto “By the artist, for the artist,” Impressions has evolved from a modest stage for emerging talent into a full-fledged festival celebrating diverse art forms.

This year, Impressions enters its 9th edition, themed ‘रंगरेज़: The Artist Within,’ scheduled for 17th, 18th, and 19th December 2024, exclusively for COEP students.

Impressions isn’t just a cultural event; it’s a platform where budding artists are recognized, celebrated, and inspired. From its vibrant proshows to 12 exciting competitions spread across six creative modules, Impressions’24 promises to be a feast of talent, imagination, and community spirit.

COEP’s cultural highlight began on an exhilarating note with the much-anticipated event Under 25, which brought electrifying performances from rising stars like Pashmina Roshan, Harsh Rane, Bendi, and Prasad Vidhate.

Beyond entertainment, Impressions is also making meaningful contributions to society through its welfare initiative, Muskaan. Introduced last year, Muskaan spreads joy and uncovers hidden talents through events like a Children’s Day celebration at Dnyandeep Balgruha. Building on this success, the campaign will continue in upcoming editions, reaffirming the festival’s commitment to community welfare.

Another recent pre-event, Raahi, saw the musical band The Youngsters deliver a mesmerizing performance at the COEP Hostel, leaving the audience in awe and setting a high bar for the main events.

Impressions’24 offers an array of competitions, spanning six diverse modules that provide a vibrant platform for artists across multiple disciplines:

Music Module: Vocal and instrumental brilliance take center stage with competitions like Saavani and Stay Tuned.
Dance Module: Events like Dance Dil Se, Step It Up, and Nrityangana highlight various dance styles and energy-packed performances.
Art & Craft Module: Creativity shines through in contests such as Game of Shades, Coloursplash, and Cirkala, focusing on painting, pencil sketching, and mandala art.
Drama Module: Theatrical talents are showcased in Scene-Sational, a platform for aspiring actors.
COEP Open Mic Module: Performers find their voice in Evening Echoes and All COEP Radio.
Camera Module: Visual storytelling takes the spotlight with Lensart and Reelscapes.
Impressions’24 is renowned for its thrilling proshows, and this year is no exception. Among the highlights is a Sufi Night featuring The Jogi Experience, followed by the soul-stirring melodies of Shubh Mukherjee and his band, Maahi.

Adding to the excitement, Impressions’24 promises to host yet another illustrious celebrity. Building on last year’s astounding 12,000 footfall, the organizers are gearing up for an even larger turnout this year.

Over the years, Impressions has become synonymous with talent, creativity, and the spirit of togetherness. From its innovative competitions to its electrifying performances, the festival is a testament to COEP Technological University’s commitment to nurturing artistic excellence.
