COINEX 2018 –  Puneites  to experience treasure of rare coins

Pune: The International Collectors Society of Rare Items has organized ‘COINEX PUNE 2018’, a national exhibition again this year on 14, 15 and 16th December, 2018. Society’s President Narendra Tole announced this in a press conference. Vice Presidnet of the Society Rajendra Shah, Chairman Ravindra Doshi, Secretary Sharad Bora, Treasurer and Exhibition Coordinator Nitin Mehta and others were present on the occasion.

Giving details on the occasion Narendra Tole said International Collectors Society of Rare Items is working since last 24 years. Pune residents will have a unique opportunity to see a variety of coins like ancient, Mughal, error etc. The exhibition will be open for people free of cost on 14, 15 and 16th December 2018 at Sonal Hall, Karve Road, Pune from 10 am to 7 pm.

The exhibition will be inaugurated at 10 am on 14th December, 2018 at the hands of Dr. Anand A. Shroff a well-known senior Archaeologist and Senior Numismatist, Mumbai. On this occassion A lifetime achievement award will be presented to the Indore’s well-known senior coin collector Daulat Johri, Trivendram’s well-known senior coin collector Beena Sarasan and Pune’s a well-known senior coin collector S.R. Bhat. A souvenir based on ‘COINEX PUNE 2018 exhibition will be published on this occasion, which includes articles by eminent experts from all over India.

This year during this exhibition, there will be a display of Indian Military medal’s from 18th century onwords. This unique collection of medal’s will display by Dr. P. V. Bharat.

On first day of exhibition, 14th December at 2.00 to 5.00 pm Oriental Numismatic Society (London) meet in association with International Collectors Society of Rare, a lecture on Rituals of Power- Coinage, court culture and kingship in Mugal India by Dr. Shailedra Bhandare, a lecture on Recent discoveries in the coins of Shilaharas by Dr. Padmakar Prabhune, a lecture on A study of the Kalikut silver issues of Tipu Sultan by Purnanans Sanket and a lecture on Some new numismatic discoveries from Early Medieval Maharashtra.

The Classical Numismatic Auction will take place on 14th December at 5.00 pm, Imperial Auction will take place on 15th December at 10.30 am, Oswal Auction will take place on 15th December at 5.30 pm and Todywalla Auction will take place on 16th December at 10.30 am. Peoples from different cities including Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Rajkot, Baroda, Bengaluru, Chennai etc. will be present for the auction. This event will give an opportunity to Puneyites to witness the purchase and sell of coins. Also a facility to identify coins available with you. You can get the information about its approximate value, year, history, inscriptions, figures, impressions on the coin etc. from experts in numismatics.

There are 50 frames of collectors in the exhibition. These are very rare collections hence they will be a treat to Pune residents especially those interested in coins. The exhibition will have a huge collection of very rare coins hence 24×7 security at the venue. Organiser have appealed to the people at large to visit the exhibition in large numbers to get a unique and rare experience.
