Colleges In Maharashtra To Reopen Soon, Decision By January 20: Higher Education Minister Uday Samant

Mumbai, January 9, 2021: Maharashtra Higher Education Minister Uday Samant today said that colleges coming under the purview of universities in Maharashtra would be started soon with 50 percent attendance of students and a decision will be announced by January 20.

Samant said that the decision will be taken by the higher education department after holding talks with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Significantly, the colleges are closed since March 2020 due to the global Corona (Covid-19) epidemic. He said that at present only a few educational institutes are functioning which are providing higher education including schools from 9th to 10th class.
