Common Platform to work on Plastic ,E-Waste problems of Pune City

‘Plastic,E-Waste Niwaran Kriti Abhiyan ‘- a new Common Platform to work on Plastic ,E-Waste collection and recycling related problems   of Pune City,has been announced today in a press conference held in Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh.

Some of NGO’s and social organizations working in Solid waste management ,garbage collection-recycling ,processing and environment conservation ,have come together to form this initiative.They are going to work to evolve new model for collection to recycling,to tackle plastic,garbage related problems of Pune city.

Anant Gharat(Director,My Earth),Lalit Rathi(Resource Person on Solid waste management),Nilesh Inamdar(President,Environmental Club of India),Sachin Nivangune(Founder,Pune District Retailers Asoociation),Anjali Bomanna(Bharari Pratishthan),Dattatray Deole(Former officer,Maharashtra Pollution Control Board) were present at press conference,to announce their new initiative.

This new common platform will bring together chain from Manufacturers to recyclers ,NGOs to Corporate companies,and wastepickers to housing societies.Awareness on plastic collection,segregation,recycling ,advocacy ,training programmesis on card of this initiative.

This platform will work to provide assured price for segregated plastic waste,to encourage wastepickers
