Construction Material Worth Rs 2.6 Lakh Stolen from Pune Metro Site, Case Registered

Shivajinagar, 14th February 2025: A theft involving construction materials worth ₹2.6 lakh from the Pune Metro construction site in Shivajinagar has been reported. Following the incident, a case has been registered at Shivajinagar Police Station, and authorities are currently searching for the culprits.
The complaint was filed by Ritesh Pradhan (23, resident of Jagtap Nagar, Thergaon), who works as a security supervisor for the metro project. According to the complaint, materials were stolen from the Kamgar Putla area between August and November 2024, during the construction of the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi metro line.
The Shivajinagar police have taken cognizance of the case, and Assistant Inspector Rajkumar Kendra is leading the investigation.
This is not the first instance of theft at Pune Metro construction sites. Similar incidents have been reported in Shivajinagar, Chaturshringi, and Khadki, with thieves stealing materials worth lakhs in recent months.
