Corona Effect: Mask Compulsory To Travel In PMPML Buses, No Standing Passenger Allowed

Pune, February 19, 2021: Due to a spike in Covid-19 cases, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has decided to reduce the number of passengers in the buses. The passenger count in each bus will be reduced and maximum buses will be made available on the route during rush hours to avoid inconvenience to passengers.

“To avoid the spread of Covid-19 the necessary steps have been taken by the administration. The drivers and conductors on the buses will be wearing masks and passengers should do the same. Also, passengers without a mask will not be allowed on the bus. A bottle filled with sanitiser will be kept on the stand. The conductor will guide passengers to maintain social distancing,” PMPML stated in a press release.

The transport body further informed that if seats are full then the passengers shall be asked to wait for the next bus, the passenger shall not be allowed to travel standing on the bus. Care shall be taken to avoid complaints from passengers while guiding passengers for maintaining adequate distance among themselves.
