Coronavirus: 5 persons discharged from hospital in Pune, no new case in last 48 hours

Pune, March 25, 2020: This Gudi Padwa brought a Good News. Today five patients were discharged from Naidu Hospital after they tested negative after 14 days of treatment. The couple had become the first in Maharashtra for being tested Coronavirus positive.

Among the discharged patients are a couple from Dhayari, their daughter, the cab driver who had ferried them from Mumbai to Pune and a man who had travelled to Dubai with them.

Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol said, “The discharge of five patients shows that we can beat Coronavirus”.

Shivajinagar MLA Siddharth Shirole tweeted, “Not a single person in #Pune City has tested positive for #COVID19 #coronavirus in the last 48 hours. All Patients under treatment at the Naidu Hospital are stable and responding to treatment. It’s no way end of the road..just a very good start.”

The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 128. In Sangli 5 people from one family are identified as positive due to contacts and 4 people from Mumbai are identified as positive due to travel history or contacts.
