Coronavirus: 60 positive cases in Pune, 21 in Pimpri-Chinchwad, 7 in rural areas
Pune, April 4, 2020: The number of Coronavirus Positive cases has reached 88 in Pune district. Out of 88, two patients have died while 22 have been cured and discharged from hospitals. The number of cases has increased to 21 in Pimpri-Chinchwad, 60 in Pune and and 7 in Pune rural areas.
There were 145 new cases today and the total number of positive cases has reached 635 today in the state. The data also includes reports from private labs. Till now a total of 52 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 32 persons have died during treatment.
According to officials, a total of 1225 persons who either attended Tablighi Jamaat convention at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi or who were present in the area during the convention, have addresses in Maharashtra. 1033 of them have been contacted and 738 have been kept in isolation. Seven of them have tested Coronavirus positive including two each from Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Ahmednagar and one from Hingoli.
The press release further stated wherever there is more number of patients, a cluster plan is being implemented to check the people. Under Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), a total of 423 teams are working to screen people by doing door to door survey.
