Coronavirus: Highest Single day deaths in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Sep 15, 2020: A total of 19,423 patients were discharged and 20,482 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1691 new cases were reported in Pune City yesterday. Yesterday, 515 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.77%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 10,97,856 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 7,75,273 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.77%. As of yesterday, there are 2,91,797 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 70.62% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.77%.

Currently, 17,34,164 people are in home quarantine and 37,225 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 54,09,060 laboratory samples, 10,97,856 have been tested positive (20.29%) for COVID-19 until yesterday.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 4,930,236 across the country. Out of this, 3,859,399 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 80,776 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 990,061 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
