Coronavirus in Pune: Now strict curfew announced in these areas again

Shivajinagar, June 16, 2020: Due to rising cases of COVID19, a complete lockdown has been announced in three areas of Pune city. Shivajinagar MLA Siddharth Shirole announced the development today.

“Complete curfew has been imposed in Gokhalenagar, Janwadi and Wadarwadi for the next 3 days from Wednesday to break the chain of the increasing number of COVID19 infections in these areas. Except for medical stores, all shops including grocery stores will be closed during this period”, Shirole said.

According to Shirole, till June 15 the number of COVID cases reached 41 in Gokhalenagar, 130 in Wadarwadi and 75 in Janwadi. Now with the help of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune city police strict vigil will be kept in the area. Also, screening of suspected patients will be intensified in these areas.
