Coronavirus Positive cases reach 113 in PCMC areas, Pimple Gurav sealed

Pimpri, April 30, 2020: The number of Coronavirus COVID19 patients in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) areas reached 113 today after two new patients were detected today. According to health department officials, seven patients from Dapodi, Sambhajinagar and Bhosari were discharged after being cured. Till now five patients have died including two from Pune. A total of 42 patients have been cured.

Corona infected patients have been found in Pimple Gurav area. Therefore, the premises of Tulja Bhavani Temple – 60 feet road – Bhalchandra Hospital – Nilam Super Market – Ganesh Temple – Mauli Hotel – Sriganesha Dairy – Jayshree Sweets to Tulja Bhavani Temple will be sealed from today midnight. Citizens are not allowed to enter or leave the area until further notice.

The report of the two from Pimple Gurav area came positive on today evening. Also, the reports of three residents of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area but admitted to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Hospital also came positive today. They include a 10-year-old boy and a 36-year-old woman from Pimple Gurav area. The other three are residents of Sadashiv Peth, Bhavani Peth and Ganjpeth in Pune. Their ages are 35, 48 and 80 years.

Meanwhile, after several positive patients were detected in Rupeenagar area, people have called for strict curfew in Ward No. 13, Yamunanagar, Nigdi, Sainathnagar, Peth No. 22 etc, from May 1 to 3. These areas are adjacent to Rupeenagar, therefore citizens and corporators have taken this decision without any delay. Hospitals, Dairy and Medical stores will be kept open during the closed period. There are plans to close grocery stores, vegetable and fruit shops. All citizens should cooperate for this, appealed corporator Suman Pavale, Kamal Gholap, Sachin Chikhale and Uttam Kendale.

Locals and people’s representatives from Nigdi ward have discussed the matter with the municipal administration and senior police inspector of Nigdi police station Ganesh Javadwad. Also, letters have been given to Commissioner of Police Sandeep Bishnoi and Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar.
