Pune, 14th March 2021: With the addition of 3267 fresh Coronavirus disease (COVID19) positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 4,37,868 in the Pune district in the last one year. Also, 1830 patients got discharged from hospitals while 25 people died today.

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of a total of 4,37,868 patients 4,06,894 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 9413  people have died. There are still 21,730 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 25,01,929 people have been tested in the district.

The 4,37,868 patients include 2,18,203 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 1,14,026 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 7453 from Cantonment areas, 76,181 are from Rural areas, and 22,005 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
