COVID: Frontline Workers, Healthcare Personnel, and Citizens Over 18 to Receive Precaution Dose In PCMC Areas

Pimpri, 30th October 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has rolled out plans to provide a precautionary dose of the ‘iNCOVACC’ vaccine to eligible beneficiaries in its region. This additional vaccine dose is intended for individuals who have completed a minimum of 26 weeks (or 6 months) since receiving their second dose of Covishield or Covaxin.

The vaccination drive will be facilitated at several designated vaccination centres within the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Beneficiaries, including frontline workers, healthcare personnel, and citizens aged 18 years and above, can avail of this precautionary dose. The vaccines will be administered intranasally, and the vaccination program will run from October 31, 2023, through November 18, 2023.

The designated ‘iNCOVACC’ vaccination centres are as follows, each with an allocation of 20 doses: KAHBP Prabhakar Malharrao Kute Memorial Hospital in Akurdi, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule (Old Talera) Hospital in Chinchwad, New Thergaon Hospital in Thergaon, New Bhosari Hospital in Bhosari, Yamunanagar Hospital, New Jijamata Hospital, Ahilyadevi Holkar Sangvi Municipal School, and Late Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, Family Welfare Department in Room No.62.

The vaccination process will take place between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM at the specified COVID-19 vaccination centres of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. All eligible individuals, including disabled (differently-abled), senior citizens, and transgender persons, are encouraged to get vaccinated at these centres.

It’s important to note that the first and second doses of the ‘Incovac’ COVID-19 vaccine will not be administered at these centres. Furthermore, all vaccination centres will be closed on November 14, 2023, due to a public holiday. Additionally, every Sunday, these centres will remain closed as part of their weekly holiday for vaccination work.
