Talwade, September 12, 2020: In a jaw-dropping incident, Kamal Pandurang Dhukte (59) of Rupinagar, Talwade died on September 11 due to complete mismanagement by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

On September 1, Dhukte started feeling unwell, so she got her Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) test done in a municipal hospital near Yamunanagar. The antigen test revealed that she was negative.

However, after a few days, her health started deteriorating, and she started facing difficulties in breathing. Her family immediately rushed her to YCM Hospital in Pimpri. But after struggling for two days, she couldn’t survive and was declared dead by doctors on Friday.

Shockingly, her COVID test report did not arrive even after she passed away. Meanwhile, today her son received a call from the PCMC health department, and they informed that the report was positive and asked if they could escort him to a COVID care facility.

“Even after getting the COVID test done on time, my mother passed away yesterday. After she was declared dead, officials called me and inform me that she is positive, if this is not mismanagement what is it then? These people are playing with the lives of common people”, griefed the deceased’s son Swapnil Dhukte.

Manish Bhalekar of Rupinagar added, “RT PCR reports do not come after even seven to ten days. Sharing my own experience, On September 1, my brother was also tested. His reports have not been received yet. Meanwhile, the patients think that they are not positive and they roam around freely”.

When contacted, YCM hospital dean Dr Rajendra Wable about the incident, he said that he does not have any information and will only answer after gaining complete knowledge about the incident.
