Dead Infant Wrapped in Plastic Found in Pune Garbage Can
Viman Nagar, 17th June 2024: A male infant was found dead in Pune, discovered carefully concealed in a garbage can to avoid detection. The cleaning worker, Sushila Somnath Salwe (age 50, resident of Indira Nagar), made the discovery around 6:30 AM today in JP Nagar.
Salwe reported the incident to the Airport Police Station, where a case has been registered against an unknown accused under IPC section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body).
According to police reports, Salwe found the deceased infant wrapped and disposed of in the garbage can with materials like plastic and newspaper to conceal it. Police Sub-Inspector SR Chaudhary is currently investigating the matter further.
