Deadline Set For Distribution of APAAR ID To All Students In Maharashtra By 30th November

Pune, 29th November 2024: The Central Government has issued clear instructions to ensure that every student in the state receives their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID by 30th November 2024. As of now, 65 lakh students in Maharashtra have already received their APAAR IDs, and the Education Department has directed that the remaining students should be issued their IDs promptly.

This initiative, launched by the Central Government, aims to provide every student in the state with a unique APAAR ID. In line with this, headmasters are actively working to ensure that all students are registered. The Central Government continues to monitor and follow up on the progress of this project.

To meet the deadline, State Project Director R Vimala has instructed that schools across the state observe “APAAR Day” on the 29th and 30th of November. On these days, special campaigns will be held to expedite the distribution process of APAAR IDs. Educational officials have also called for an online review meeting at the district level to assess the progress and ensure that all schools are on track.

In addition to the review meetings, district-level education officers, including Administration Officers, Group Education Officers, and Extension Officers, have been asked to visit schools and oversee the process of issuing APAAR IDs. A special effort is being made to complete the validation of students’ U-DISE and Aadhaar Card details alongside the APAAR ID distribution.

The Education Department has emphasized that the headmasters of secondary and higher secondary schools must give personal attention to completing this process within the next two days. Failure to comply will result in action against the concerned schools, officials in Pune have warned.

The initiative is part of a nationwide effort to ensure all students have a permanent academic record linked to their unique APAAR ID, facilitating better access to educational resources and opportunities across the country.
