Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Leads Rally for Mahayuti Candidate Sunil Kamble in Pune Cantonment

Camp, 16th November 2024: The election campaign in Pune Cantonment received a major boost as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a massive rally in support of Mahayuti candidate Sunil Kamble. Held at Golibar Maidan, the rally saw enthusiastic participation from leaders, workers, and supporters of Mahayuti, showcasing unity and confidence ahead of the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Speaking at the event, Rajnath Singh expressed confidence that Mahayuti would form the government in Maharashtra. “The Lok Sabha elections may not have yielded the desired results, but the people of Maharashtra will bring Mahayuti to power in this assembly election, just as we saw in Haryana,” he stated.
The Defence Minister took sharp jabs at Congress, alleging its failure to address critical national issues. He accused the party of neglecting the legacy of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, stating, “Congress systematically defeated Dr. Ambedkar in elections and failed to honor him with the Bharat Ratna during its tenure. Their governance failed to tackle poverty and unemployment, despite decades in power.”
Rajnath Singh highlighted BJP’s development initiatives, particularly those focused on women’s empowerment and senior citizens. He mentioned schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat as key examples of BJP’s commitment to inclusive growth. “Our policies are aimed at empowering women and ensuring better healthcare for the elderly. Unlike Congress, BJP stands for development-oriented governance,” he asserted.
The rally was attended by key Mahayuti leaders, including former Minister Dilip Kamble, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Medha Kulkarni, BJP Pune City President Dheeraj Ghate, and RPI (A) City President Sanjay Sonawane. The presence of senior leaders and supporters from allied parties like Shiv Sena and RPI underscored the coalition’s strength.
