Director of National Award-Winning Movie Yellow, Mahesh Limaye guides Times & Trends Academy Students

PUNE, JULY 2018: Mahesh Limaye, cinematographer for movies like Dabangg, Yellow, Balak-Palak, Freaky Ali, Rege, etc. visited Times & Trends Academy to interact with students. Mahesh Limaye is an award-winning director with his directorial debut film, Yellow winning the Special Jury Award at the 61st National Film Awards.

Times & Trends Academy has developed an exclusive, fast-paced, and an industry-relevant course called ‘Fashion Reverse Innovation’ for all fashion aspirants out there. The course has been designed by experts from fashion & Bollywood industry. The lectures for this special fashion program are conducted by experts from Bollywood, fashion industry, directors, cinematographers, costume designers, grooming experts, actors, fashion label owners, entrepreneurs, etc.

During his session, when asked by a student what’s the most important skill required in the Bollywood, Mahesh Limaye answered, “I think observation is by far the most important skill required to be successful. You need to be really very observant about your surroundings and people.” Mr. Mahesh also shared various incidents relating to his professional career. He said, “I was a good photographer but since I wanted to become a cinematographer, I started as a spot boy and learned the art of cinematography. I slowly progressed to being an assistant, and then gradually became a cinematographer. It was not very easy and a quick journey, but since I loved this amazing art, I kept on learning.” Mr. Mahesh engaged student by sharing his experience in the industry and his various accounts of working with stars like Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan.
