Divisional Railway Manager, Pune Division, Unfurls National Flag on 76th Republic Day
Pune, 26th January 2025: The Pune Division of Central Railway celebrated the 76th Republic Day with a grand function held at the Divisional Sports Ground, Tadiwala Road, Pune.
Rajesh Kumar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Pune Division, unfurled the national flag and inspected a vibrant parade comprising the Railway Protection Force (RPF), St. John Ambulance, Civil Defense, and Scouts & Guides.
In his address, the DRM shared the message of the General Manager of Central Railway, which was read out to the audience. The program also featured a cultural performance by children and a demonstration by the RPF, including an impressive K9 dog show.
Following the ceremony, officers and members of the Women Social Service Organization (WSSO) visited Little Angel School in Balwadi, Tadiwala Road, where they distributed gifts to the school children.
Additionally, Swati Verma, President of WSSO, along with other members, visited the Divisional Railway Hospital, Pune. They distributed fruits, biscuits, and gifts to the patients, adding a humanitarian touch to the day’s celebrations.
Republic Day was also marked at various depots and stations across the Pune Division. A large number of railway officers, employees, and their families attended and witnessed the colorful and patriotic celebrations.
