Dr. Prakash & Mandakini Amte and Shri. Chandu Borde felicitated with ‘Life Time Achievement’ on ‘World Senior Citizen’s Day
Pune, 5th October 2017: The great work of Dr. Prakash and Dr. Mandakini Amte and the all time amazing test Cricket performance of veteran Cricket player Chandu Borde were felicitated with Life Time Achievement Award. The award given by Athashri Foundation was presented to the dignitaries in the hands of eminent entrepreneur Prataprao Pawar.
Shrikant Paranjape, Chairman Paranjape Schemes Construction Limited, Shashank Paranjape, Managing Director of Paranjape Schemes and Sudesh Khatavkar, Managing Director of Athashri Foundation were present at the moment.
Dr. Amte said “I consider my father as a role model in my life and used to inspect him since childhood which helped me give an inclination towards Social Work”. He added, we owe to society and should be obliged to do the needful. With such a sense many youngsters are coming up for the social work but the participation for such cause should increase on a larger scale.
Athashri Foundation, is a non- profit organisation with a motto of providing dignified life to senior citizens. 1st October marked as World Senior Citizens Day is celebrated each year by the foundation. The ceremony was held at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha, Kothrud. Abhay Gokhale, conversed with Mr. and Mrs. Amte and Chandu Borde, post award ceremony.
Along with the World Senior Citizen Day celebration, Athashri Foundation and Senior Citizen Committee, had organised award ceremony for Rang Tarang- a cultural and sports event competition. Few outstanding performances from Rang Tarang were enacted by young seniors at the event.
