Durga Award conferred to Shital Chavhan

Marking the auspicious occasion of Navratri, Hindu Mahila Sabha felicitated Sheetal Chavhan with Durga Award at the hands of Vijay Phalanikar, Founder, ‘Aapala Ghar’. Supriya Damle, President, Hindu Mahila Sabha was also present on the occasion.

Sheetal Chavhan works in a male dominated profession of performing post-mortem autopsies. She has performed more than 6000 autopsies till date. Sheetal works at the Bhor Government Hospital and have served in various casualties like Mandhardevi and Bhatghar Dam accidents.
