Earthquake in Northern Part of Indian Subcontinent Sends Tremors Across Delhi and Pakistan

Delhi, 11th January 2024: Today, around 2:20 pm, an earthquake with its epicenter in the Hindukush of Afghanistan shook the territory between Delhi NCR and Pakistan. At the epicenter of the earthquake, it generated tremors measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale. The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre reported that the focus of the earthquake is located 201 km below the epicenter in Hindukush.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, some regions of Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa experienced tremors, with some reaching a magnitude of 6 on the Richter scale.

According to some reports, people in the Delhi NCR region experienced shaking furniture in their homes. The tremors have caused fear among the residents of the region.
