ED Conducts Major Operation, Raids 9 Places In Pune
Pune, 3rd April 2023: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out simultaneous raids at nine different locations in Pune related to a money-laundering case linked to former minister Hasan Mushrif. The ED conducted raids at the residences of businessmen Vivek Gavhane, CA Jayesh Dudhedia, and Chandrakant Gaikwad, the director of the controversial BRICS company. The areas where the raids are being conducted include Salisbury Park, Ganesh Peth, Hadapsar, Prabhat Road, Sinhagad Road, and other locations within Pune city.
Visitors are prohibited from entering the premises where the ED is conducting the raids. The ED is investigating the financial transactions between Hasan Mushrif and various businessmen and is attempting to obtain evidence related to the case.
This is not the first time the ED has taken action against businessmen associated with Hasan Mushrif. The ED has previously raided Mushrif’s residence three times, and the district bank where he serves as chairman is also under investigation.
Earlier, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya had accused Hasan Mushrif of being involved in a Rs 100 crore scam. The ED investigation into the matter is ongoing.
