Education, Enterprise, and Ethics key to youth’s future, says Abhay Firodia Force Motors Chairman at Vishwakarma University convocation
Pune, 27th October 2024: Dr. Abhay Firodia, Group Chairman of Force Motors Limited, emphasized that the future of the young, educated generation hinges on education, enterprise, and ethics, while noting that earning degrees is merely the beginning of a lifelong learning journey. He was addressing the sixth Convocation Ceremony of Vishwakarma University, Pune, as the Chief Guest on Thursday.
“Your future is built on the three Es – education, enterprise, and ethics. While education marks the beginning of your journey, it’s essential to embrace enterprise and ethics to achieve success in life,” said Dr. Firodia. Commending Indian culture and tradition, he expressed confidence that the youth should take pride in knowing that Indian culture will endure.
Bharat Agarwal, President of Vishwakarma University, highlighted the importance of maintaining strong connections and building a network supporting students throughout their lives. Reflecting on the university’s achievements over the past year, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Siddharth Jabade stated, ” VU has seen a year-on-year increase in job offers to students, with more recruiters participating in campus placements. In addition to career opportunities, VU have implemented profiling, psychometric assessment, and skill mapping for our final-year students to ensure that they are well-prepared for their professional journey”
As many as 828 students from various disciplines – Science and Technology, Commerce and Management, Arts and Design, Media and Communication and Social sciences and Humanities were conferred degrees including PhDs. Vishwakarma University is the leading private university with various laurels with an inclusion in THE Asia Ranking, securing the top place in the World’s Universities with Real Impact ( WURI) ranking.
The vice president of the university Prof. Dr. Wasudeo Gade and Bajrangdas Lohiya were present for the function.
