Eknath Shinde Government Announces Cabinet Expansion In Maharashtra, Know Details

Mumbai, 14th July 2023: Chief Minister Ekanath Shinde while allocating the portfolios to the newly appointed ministers in the State Cabinet has also announced some changes in the portfolios of current ministers. After receiving approval from Governor Ramesh Bais, these portfolio changes have been declared today.

Chief Minister Ekanath Shinde will retain the departments of General Administration, Urban Development, Information and Technology, Information and Public Relations, Transport, Social Justice, Environment and Climate Change, Mining, and other departments not assigned to any specific minister.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be in charge of Home, Law and Justice, Water Resources and Water Conservation, Energy, and Parliamentary Affairs ministries. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will lead Finance and Planning portfolio.

The portfolios of the remaining 26 ministers are as follows :

1. Chhagan Bhujbal – Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection
2. Diliprao Dattatray Walse-Patil – Cooperation
3. Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil – Revenue, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy Development
4. Sudhir Sachidanand Mungantiwar – Forests, Cultural Affairs, and Fisheries
5. Hasan Mushrif – Medical Education and Special Assistance
6. Chandrakant Patil – Higher and Technical Education, Textile Industries, and Parliamentary Affairs
7. Vijaykumar Krishnarao Gavit – Tribal Development
8. Girish Dattatray Mahajan – Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Tourism
9. Gulabrao Patil – Water Supply and Sanitation
10. Dadaji Dagdu Bhuse – Public Works (Public Undertaking)
11. Sanjay Dulichand Rathod – Soil and Water Conservation
12. Dhananjay Panditrao Munde – Agriculture
13. Suresh Bhaurao Dada Khade – Labour
14. Sandipan Asaram Bhumre – Employment Guarantee Scheme and Horticulture
15. Uday Ravindra Samant – Industries
16. Prof. Tanaji Jaywant Sawant – Public Health and Family Welfare
17. Ravindra Dattatray Chavan – Public Works (excluding Public Undertaking)
18. Abdul Sattar – Minority Development and Wakf
19. Deepak Vasantrao Kesarkar – School Education and Marathi Language
20. Dharmarav Baba Bhagwatrao Atram – Food and Drug Administration
21. Atul Moreshwar Save – Housing, Other Demands, and Backward Class Welfare
22. Shambhuraj Shivajirao Desai – State Excise Duty
23. Aditi Sunil Tatkare – Women and Child Development
24. Sanjay Baburao Bansode – Sports and Youth Welfare, Ports
25. Mangal Prabhat Lodha – Skill Development, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation
