Camp, 21st January 2025: The Empress Botanical Garden is bustling with activity as it makes the final preparations for its highly anticipated annual flower show. The “Flower Show 2025” is set to take place from January 24 to January 27, offering visitors a stunning display of seasonal and exotic flowers, including roses, marigolds, gladioli, gerberas, chrysanthemums, and tuberoses.

This year’s exhibition promises to be bigger and more diverse than ever, featuring a range of floral arrangements, miniature gardens, bonsai collections, and unique potted plants such as cacti. “We’ve brought in plants from various regions, which are being carefully nurtured and arranged to create a mesmerizing experience for attendees,” said Suresh Pingle, Honorary Secretary of Empress Botanical Garden.

The garden’s staff is working tirelessly to ensure that everything is in place for the grand event. The flower show will be open daily from 9 AM to 7:30 PM, with a variety of cultural programs scheduled alongside the floral displays. “We aim to make this year’s flower show a multi-sensory experience, blending the beauty of nature with the vibrancy of cultural performances,” Pingle added.

As the opening day draws closer, workers are focused on constructing tents and pavilions to house the flowers and plants, ensuring that each display is both accessible and visually appealing. Gardeners and experts are tending to the plants regularly, ensuring they are pruned and maintained for optimal freshness. “We start every day with tending to the plants, checking their health, and making sure they are ready for the show,” explained one of the gardeners.

Efforts to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the event are also in full swing. Fountains throughout the garden are being meticulously cleaned, while lighting arrangements are being set up to illuminate the displays, creating a magical atmosphere for visitors.

This year’s Flower Show is shaping up to be a visual and sensory feast, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to connect with nature in a beautiful setting.
