Pune, 25th June 2026: As the investigation into the alleged murder of Pune businessman Ketan Vishal Agarwal continues, family members of two of the accused have publicly spoken about the case. While Siya Goyal’s parents said the law should take its course and that even their daughter should not be spared if found guilty, Chetan Chaudhary’s father maintained that his son has been falsely implicated.

According to the police, Ketan Agarwal was allegedly taken to Lohagad Fort on June 18, where he was pushed into a valley, resulting in his death. Investigators claim the murder was pre-planned and have arrested several accused, including Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary. The allegations remain under investigation and are yet to be proven in a court of law.

Speaking to the media, Praveen Goyal, father of accused Siya Goyal, said those responsible should face the strictest punishment.

“Whoever is responsible for this should be given the death penalty. Even if it is my own daughter, if she is found guilty by the court, there should be no delay in awarding punishment,” he said.

Praveen Goyal also dismissed reports circulating on social media regarding an alleged destination wedding and claims that an aircraft had been booked.

“The reports about a destination wedding are false. No aircraft was booked by anyone because I do not have that kind of money. All those reports are completely baseless,” he said.

Pooja Goyal, mother of Siya Goyal, said Ketan had become like a member of their family and expressed grief over his death.

“Ketan gave us so much love. Even my own son does not give us the kind of affection Ketan gave us. We are deeply saddened by what has happened. Whoever is responsible should receive the strictest punishment. Even if it is my daughter, if she is found guilty, she should not be spared,” she said.

Meanwhile, Babulal Chaudhary, father of accused Chetan Chaudhary, asserted that his son was innocent and had been wrongly implicated in the case.

“My son has been falsely implicated. He was standing some distance away when Ketan Agarwal allegedly fell into the valley at Lohagad Fort,” he claimed.

“He told his mother that he had a meeting and was leaving. He did not tell me anything. He said he would return by 2 or 3 pm,” he added.

“I had no knowledge of what allegedly happened at Lohagad Fort. I came to know about the incident and the details only after my son’s arrest.”

“Siya is blaming my son, but he has been falsely implicated in this case,” he alleged.

The investigation is ongoing, and Pune Police continue to collect evidence. The guilt or innocence of the accused will be determined during the trial based on the evidence presented before the court.
