Everyone Should Make Jayastambh Salutation Ceremony Success: Pune Collector Deshmukh

Pune, 27th December 2022: Jayastambha Salutation Ceremony organized at Perne Phata on 1st January 2023 will be a successfully organized by all the government agencies, said District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh.

He was speaking in a review meeting held at the Collector’s office. Pune City Police’s Additional Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Superintendent of Police (Pune rural) Ankit Goyal, ZPOfficer Chandrakant Waghmare, Resident Deputy Collector Himmat Kharade, and others were present along with senior officers of various departments in the meeting.

Dr Deshmukh said, “Special attention should be paid to ensure that good sanitation facilities are maintained during the program, additional manpower should be appointed for this. The Health Department should facilitate the distribution of masks. Special attention should be paid to regular cleaning of toilets and availability of drinking water.”

He said that on the day of the event, all the concerned agencies should be in touch with the control room.

1,500 toilets have been arranged for the ceremony, and 150 additional staff have been appointed for cleaning. Garbage bins will be kept at various places on the road. 21 health teams with 240 employees, 41 ambulances, bike ambulances, 38 ghantagadi, 10 fire engines, and 175 garbage cans have been arranged.
