Fake IAS detained by Crime Branch

Pune, October 2, 2019 : The officials from Crime Branch of Pune City Police on Wednesday arrested a person who impersonated as IAS officer and cheated many women through matrimonial website jeevansaathi.com

Police have identified him as Deepak Bhadre (39), a resident of Wagholi. An FIR is being registered against him.

DCP (crime branch) Bachchan Singh said, “the accused was impersonating as an IAS of Delhi. The information regarding this cheat was passed on by one of my IPS batchmates few days back. On Wednesday, he was nabbed by the Anti-Narcotic Cell (Wwest). The accused used to carry a fake pistol too to show off. We are registering an FIR against him.”
