Fatal Accident Near Lonavala: Two Killed, Five Injured in Pune-Mumbai Expressway Crash
Lonavala, 21st February 2024: A devastating collision occurred near Lonavala on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, involving a car. Two individuals in the vehicle lost their lives instantly, while five others sustained severe injuries. The accident occurred today at 6 in the morning.
The individuals who have lost their lives are Sunil Thorat and Mayuri Thorat. The injured individuals include Akshay Sunil Thorat (age 27), Dattatray Thorat (age 60), Tejal Thorat (age 25), Sharda Thorat (age 48), and Rajveer Thorat (age 3).
As per the provided information, the Thorat family was travelling from Mumbai to Pune in a Maruti Ertiga car with registration number MH 14 LB 4630. At approximately 6 am on Wednesday, the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with the guard rail at kilometre 79. The impact led to significant damage to the front end of the car, causing the unfortunate demise of two individuals and leaving five others with serious injuries.
