First LGBTQ Community Clinic Started In Pune

Pune, 3rd July 2021: The first LGBTQ Community clinic started in Pune by the LGBTQ Community people. It is a first of its kind clinic in the state.

 

Speaking about this Sonali Dalvi said, “Several issues are being faced by the community including violation of basic rights, the community often do not have access to health care or housing. So they have to stay on the sidewalk for a while. The clinic has been set up to provide affordable healthcare to this community and about 4,000 community people will get the benefit through this clinic.”

 

The clinic will treat patients of all ages at a very low cost. They will not be charged for inspection. All staff at the clinic will belong to the LGBTQ community, Dalvi said.
