First National Minority Council Organized In Pune, 14 Resolutions Presented For Interests Of Minorities
Pune, 12th March 2023: The first National Minority Council was organized in Pune, where problems related to minority communities were discussed. In the conference, Bishop Thomas Dabare, a religious leader from Pune, expressed his opinion that people of all religions and sects should live happily and respectfully in the country.
He further said, “The philosophy of all religions teaches us to love humanity and the world. If everyone respects and follows it, the whole world will be filled with happiness and contentment. Everyone should respect other religions and cultures. People of all religions have built the country.” Bishop Dabare said that justice should be served by every citizen of the country and everyone should follow the constitution.
The chief speaker of the conference, ex-IPS officer Abdur Rehman, expressed that the wealth of a country is measured by peace and happiness. In every country, some religion is a minority, in some countries, the Muslim religion is considered a minority. Therefore, special attention is given to the minority community in each country.
Also, in this country, many artisans, like plumbers, carpenters, and mechanics, are a part of the minority community. Today, various schemes of the minority community are closed. He said that minority communities should get at least equal rights if they have not been provided with special opportunities.
In the introduction, the President of the National Minority Council, Rahul Dambale, gave information about the present need for this conference and also explained the role behind the organization of the said conference. Dambale also said that 14 resolutions for the interests of minorities were presented at the said conference, and efforts will be made to resolve them.
This conference was organized by Rahul Dambale, Anjum Inamdar, and Lucas Kedari. Veteran writer Anwar Rajan, former MLA Mohan Joshi, former Junnar corporator Jamir Kagdi, Rashid Sheikh, Anthony Jacob, Suvarna Dambale, writers, intellectuals, various party organizations, activists, and youth were present in large numbers on this occasion.
