Students of St Andrews Marathi medium school, Camp, got on the roads for an awareness rally related to road safety.

About 80 girls were raising various slogans like ‘ट्रेफिक नियम पाळा, दुर्घटना टाळा’, सीट बेल्ट चा वापर करा ‘, ‘Follow the rules, be safe’, ‘

The Lashkar traffic police division of Pune city police, Camp, expended help towards their safety on the road while Police inspector Rajendra Deshmukh guided the girls through a small session regarding traffic rules and various other upcoming opportunities like road engineering etc.

“Two hours of lecture should be given to each and every person who doesn’t wear a helmet while driving”

Sachin Bagal shared his experiences on how people argue and fight with the police during the traffic police duty.

PM Pakhre and Sunil Pethshivnikar from Lashkar traffic  police division too were present during this program.

Principal said, “Accident free roads is a very good initiative. Basic values need to be taught initially in the home and then in the school. Then and only then will there will be some use of such sessions.”

Accident free roads is a campaign run by three organizations named Icare, Sahyadri nature foundation and Posa foundation.
