Free Biryani: Pune Police DCP Says Audio Doctored To Defame Her As She Cracked Down On Policemen Involved In ‘Hafta’ Collection

Pune, July 30, 2021: An audio clip allegedly of a woman police officer of Pune police and her staff has gone viral as the officer demands “free Biryani” from a famous hotel in her jurisdiction. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Home Minister has asked Pune Police Commissioner to investigate the matter.

Now DCP (Zone 1) Priyanka Narnawre has clarified that the audio clip is edited to defame her.

“Audio clip should be investigated. An inquiry is needed. Only then will the truth come out. This is a conspiracy against me”, she told ABP Majha news channel.

She added, “I had sent default reports about the employees who were posted here for 12 years and who were collecting hafta money. It was going on for years and I ended it. So many have been affected and hence this audio clip has been made so that I get transferred from here. They also have the support of some senior officers. This has been done to damage my career.”
