Dr. S. M. Shendokar Principal Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering at Lavale said that today there has been dearth of Opportunities for Fresh graduates in general and engineering graduates in particular. This has been the case for last five six years, as Campus placements at Engineering Colleges has taken Nose Dive. To add agony, the changing scenario in United States has created anxiety even among experienced engineering fraternity. This is picture for those engineering graduates who aspire for placements with Multi-National Companies. But while one of the placement officers was connecting with an SME in Pirangut Area , we found that the real potential is in the Small and Medium sized core engineering companies who are also offering decent pay packages from Rs. 1.5 Lakhs PA to 3.5 Lakhs PA .
We recognized that there could be a lot of companies  in MIDC areas near Pune including Hinjewadi, Bhosari, Hingane and Parvati which could be tapped. Initially we thought we might get a response from 10-15 companies but a whopping 81 companies participated. Also the humongous response of the students is owing to the generosity of Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam, Secretary, Bharati Vidyapeeth who consented to provide complete financial support for this FSAI Job Fair and hence it was made completely free for Students who registered as well as Companies who are participating.
Pankaj Dharkar National President Fire and Security Association of India ( FSAI ) FSAI has more than 500 Corporate members and 20 Chapters across India with about 3000 Student members.Bharati Vidyapeeth COE, Lavale, Pune has Students Association for Fire and Security awareness, which is led by Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI).
