G20 Summit To Be Held On Pune University Campus

Pune, 28th December 2022: This year, India has received the honour of organizing the conference of G-20 countries, which is considered very important at the international level, and some of the meetings will be held at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dr Karbhari Kale, gave this information while presenting the report of the AGM.

The AGM of Savitribai Phule Pune University was held on 28th December 2022. All the newly elected members, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Sanjiv Sonwane, and the Registrar, Dr Prafull Pawar, were present.

Dr Kale said that many meetings of the G20 Council will be held across India. Some of the meetings are planned to be held at this university. For this, a special lecture on G20 will be organized in January for eight lakh students affiliated with the university. Dr Kale also said the meetings with the congregations in the central committees have been going on for the past few days.

While presenting the work report of the last six months of the university, he said that during this period, the university signed MoUs with many famous universities and educational institutions in America. New courses, opportunities for foreign education, and research will be done through this. The University participated in the program of the Tribal Tribes Commission held at the national level. Apart from this, in the last few months, the university has taken several programs to implement the National Education Policy 2020. Dr Kale also gave information about the ongoing research and many activities at the university.

On this occasion, Dr Sanjeev Sonawane reviewed the progress of the university while presenting the audit report. Dr Prafull Pawar thanked the attendees.
