Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. installs Topography machine at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune

Pune, August 17, 2017: Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. (GWRL), a leading global player in the Technical Textile  sector has contributed towards installation of the first Topography machine at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. This CSR initiative by GWRL lends support to the ophthalmology department of the hospital. The machine was inaugurated by Mrs. Mayuri V Garware – Director, Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. on 17th August 2017.                   

 

The topography machine installed ensures faster results besides displaying various treatment options.  The machine is technically advanced and uses seamless connectivity to the EMR system.  The Topography machine is used to map the curvature of the cornea and the outer structure of the eye and thus aids the ophthalmic surgeons to plan and determine a better quality of vision before the surgery.

 

GWRL believes that Healthcare forms a very critical part of any society and is pleased to continue its support to the people of Pune by providing the topography machine for better vision of the masses. 

 

Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. with its manufacturing facilities at Pune and Wai has undertaken various CSR projects across sectors like education, healthcare, environment protection and skill development amongst others.

 

GWRL, under its CSR activities has recently converted 20 schools into ‘Happy Schools’ in rural areas of Wai and other parts of Maharashtra. Under the “Happy School’ initiative, schools on-boarded by GWRL are provided with indispensable facilities such as drinking water, separate toilets for girls and boys, E Learning,  library, amongst others.  Tree plantation, health check-ups and blood donation drives are the other projects that are conducted by the company on an ongoing basis.
