General Manager’s Safety Award for 12 Staff of Central Railway including 2 staff from Pune Division

Pune, 14th January 2025: Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway felicitated 12 Central Railway staff i.e. 3 from Mumbai Division, 4 from Bhusaval Division, 2 from Solapur Division, 2 from Pune Division and 1 from Nagpur Division with Safety Award in a function held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai on 14.01.2025.

The awards were given in appreciation of their alertness during duty, their contribution in averting untoward incidents and ensuring safety in train operations during the previous months. The award consists of a medal, commendation certificate, a citation of exemplary safety work and cash of ₹ 2000.

Anup Kumar Yadav, Track Maintainer, Uruli, Pune, on 20.12.2024, while on gate duty, noticed a hot axle on the coach of passing Train no 11026 Amravati-Pune Express. He immediately gave all concerned information and a possible accident was averted due to his careful observation and prompt action.

Kuldip Maurya, Track Maintainer, Talegaon, Pune, on 19.12.2024, while on gate duty as, noticed brake binding on the wagon of a passing goods train. He immediately gave all concerned information and a possible accident was averted due to his careful observation and prompt action.

The General Manager in his address congratulated the awardees and complimented them for their alertness and dedication towards their duties. He said that such acts of alertness and bravery will motivate others to sincerely work towards the safety of passengers and avert loss of freight and railway property.

Jagmohan Garg, Additional General Manager, Chandra Kishore Prasad, Principal Chief Safety Officer, Other Principal Head of Departments and Senior Officers of Central Railway were present on the occasion.
