GHRCEM Students Won IEEE Women in Engineering Scholarship

Pune, 6th May 2025: G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Pune students, Komal Kathawade (SY Computer Engineering) and Anuja Bhise (TY Mechanical Engineering), awarded the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Scholarship 2024–25, funded by Quest Global.
The program was organized in the esteemed presence of Tushar Joshi Quest Global- Pune Center Head), Gayatri Thakare (Quest Global Brand Manager ESG), Dr. Amar Buchade (Chair, IEEE Pune Section), Dr. Surekha Deshmukh (Chair, IEEE PES Society), Dr. Rajashree Jain (Chair Education Society IEEE Pune Section), Dr. P. B. Mane (Principal, AISSMS), Dr. Ashoka Vittal (IEEE India Philanthropy Manager), Dr. Ashpana Shiralkar, Dr. Mandar Bhawalkar (Vice Chair, IEEE Pune
Section), Dr. Simran Khiani (Chair IEEE WiE Pune Section) and Josheen (IEEE India Philanthropy Coordinator).
This scholarship aims to empower and promote opportunities for female engineering students across India. As part of the scholarship, 388 students from 153 colleges were supported this year, with 60 deserving girls from Maharashtra receiving laptops valued at Rs. 78,000/- each. This initiative will significantly contribute to the academic growth and professional development of the recipients, enabling them to excel in the ever-evolving field of engineering and technology.
