Girls outshine boys in Maharashtra 12th class exams
Pune, May 25: Once again girls outperformed boys in the class 12th examinations.
The results of the Maharashtra State Board’s higher secondary education were declared on Wednesday.
The overall pass percentage stood at 86.60 in the state. However the pass percentage for girls is 90.50, while for boys its 83.46.
The results for all the nine divisions – Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Amravati, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur and Konkan – was declared simultaneously.
A total of 13,19,754 students appeared for the class XII examinations, and 11,42,882 passed.
Konkan division with 93.29 pass percentage scored highest, while Nashik division scored lowest pass percentage with 83.99 in the state.
