Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Appoints TCS Asia Pacific Executive to Board of Directors

Girish Ramachandran, President, TCS Asia Pacific brings proven and recognized TCS sustainability capabilities and expertise to leading global sustainability organisation

AMSTERDAM | MUMBAI, November 30 , 2017: Tata Consultancy Services (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced that Girish Ramachandran, President, TCS Asia Pacific, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), a leading worldwide sustainability reporting organisation based in Amsterdam.

GRI is an independent international organization that has pioneered sustainability reporting since 1997. GRI helps businesses and governments worldwide understand and communicate their impact on critical sustainability issues such as climate change, human rights, governance and social well-being. The GRI Board of Directors is the ultimate decision-making authority – it has the legal and fiduciary responsibility for the organization and promotes change towards a sustainable global economy and increasing corporate transparency and accountability.
