GM CR felicitates RPF and GRP joint action team
Shri D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway felicitated the staff of RPF and GRP who have done exemplary work in tandem thereby arresting the culprit in train at Khandwa. The joint action team of RPF and GRP officers and staff were given cash award totalling Rs.20,000/- and commendation certificates at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai on 22.6.2018. Shri A.K. Shrivastava, IG/RPF and Shri Saket Mishra, Secretary to General Manager, Central Railway were also present on the occasion.
Background:
Pune City Police requested Railway to check north bound trains in order to arrest an accused Govind Kalu Pariyar, 42 years, Nepali national who had fled with gold, diamond ornaments, cash and other valuable electronic gadgets totally valued at Rs.97,20,000/- A case was registered by Nigadi police station, Pune.
Senior Divisional Security Commandant, Pune passed on the message to Headquarters at Mumbai upon which instructions were issued by Shri A.K. Shrivastava, IG, RPF to keenly pursue and act on the case.
Mobile location of the accused was tracked and it was seen he was moving close to Bhusaval. Bhusaval RPF team was alerted to identify which train was arriving/leaving Bhusaval. Mumbai-Lucknow Pushpak Express which was about to leave Bhusaval was identified.
A joint action plan was put in place consisting of RPF and GRP Khandwa. Shri RS Gurjar, Inspector RPF, Shri Rohitash Kumar, Sub Inspector, Shri Niraj Singh Rathod, Head Constable, Shri Rameshwar Khande, Shri Ajit Singh Kalam, Shri Raman Bavane, Shri Govind Rathod, Shri Ajay Singh, Shri Pankaj Kumar, Shri JP Yadav, shri Dinesh Pardeshi, Constables, Shri OP Meena of Special Intelligence Bureau-Khandwa, Shri Balvant Singh Kourav, Inspector, GRP Khandwa, Shri B.S. Baghel, Asst. Sub Inspector, Shri Suresh Kumar, Shri Pushpendra Singh Dhakad, Shri Sandeep Meena, Shri Rahul Singh Tomar, Shri Kamlesh Narvariya and Shri Akhilesh, Constables boarded the train at Khandwa and conducted thorough search of all the coaches and nabbed Govind Kalu Pariyar from a general second class coach and at his instance, two accomplices were also apprehended from the same train.
