Goethe-Institut, Pune to organize Science Film Festival

Pune, 11th October 2022: Celebrating its 6th year of Science Film Festival, the Goethe Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, Pune will host the science festival from October to December 2022. The first screening of films will be held on Friday, October 14 at National Film Archive of India (NFAI), Pune from 3 PM to 6 PM. Entry will be free on a first come first serve basis.

 

The Science Film Festival is a celebration of science communication that promotes science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues through international films with accompanying educational activities. The festival presents scientific issues accessibility and entertainingly to a broad audience and demonstrates that science can be fun.

 

The films shown during the festival are for the age group of 5 to 16 years and above. Besides school and college students, the films will be open for the general public as well.

 

Similarly, the Science Film Festival will be hosted by Goethe-Instituts of New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata as well in collaboration with their respective partner schools and institutions.

 

The Institut will screen 3 films on Friday, October 14 at NFAI for the age group of 16 and above, which will include Miracle Body: Breaking Limits With Hyper Adaptability (Natural Science, Life Science and Technology), With Heart and High-Tech – How people master challenges (Natural Science, Life Science and Technology) and The Recycling Lie (Ecology and Environment).
