Government to provide land for the students’ hotels for Wani Samaj

Pune, November 24,2018: State Government will provide land for the students’ hostels of the  Ladshakhiya Wani Samaj at Pune and Nashik announced Devendra Phadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra after inaugurating the mega gathering of Ladshakhiya Wani Samaj at Life Republic at Marunji.
CM Devendra Fadnavis today gave a pat on back to the Ladshakhiya Wani Samaj during the first ever mega gathering of the community in Pune.  The CM praised the community when the community representatives requested CM for land for building the hostels for the students of their community who come from the rural areas. Where the representatives said if we are given the land we will build the hostels at our own expense. Responding to this CM said, “You are the different community. Most of the times the communities come to us asking for land and grant. However, you all look different for asking only the piece of land and building the hostel by yourselves and not asking for any grant. This shows how closely bonded and progressive the community is.” CM further announced that Government will soon provide piece of land for building these hostels in Pune and Nashik.
District Guardian, Girish Bapat, Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Kakade, MLA Medha Kulkarni, Kailash Wani, Chairman of the organizing committee of this mega community gathering, Shyam Shende, Gopal Rao Kele, Abhay Nerkar, Abhay Kele, Anil Chitodkar, Jagdish Chinchore, Shashikant Wani and Gajanand Bhalpure were on the occasion.

During his speech CM lauded the community for their contribution in the freedom struggle as well in the trade thereby contributing to the national economy. He assured full Government support to this community which he termed as ‘Karma Yogi’ as this community is the job giver and not job seeker.

Formation of Wani Chamber of Commerce was also announced on the occasion. CM wished good luck to the newly found Wani Chamber of Commerce to become the top ten chamber of commerce in the country in the coming ten years.  In addition, a special booklet on the community and its history along with some success stories was also released by CM on the occasion.
Members of the  Ladshakhiya Wani Samaj were present in large numbers. This gathering is happening  for two days including today and tomorrow. Wani Chamber of Commerce adopted 300 kids for their education and 25 villages for water and fodder. Also,  Ladshakhiya Wani Samaj donated Rs. 11 lac to ‘Mukhyamantri Sahayata Nidhi’ at the event.
