Gujarat CM announces to liberalize norms of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlamban Yojana

Gandhinagar:  Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel made an important decision to make norms of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlamban Yojna more liberal, which was initiated with a view to encourage bright students for their studies. She has now decided to extend these benefits to more young students by covering all the students who get admission from diploma to degree engineering.

As per her decision, the students getting admission in three year course of degree engineering directly from diploma, and the students who score more than 65% in their diploma exams will get assistance with a maximum limit of Rs. 50,000 in their yearly tuition fee, Rs. 5,000 for one time study material-book assistance and assistance worth Rs. 12,000 for yearly boarding and lodging facilities.

Under the scheme, the family annual income limit of the students will remain same as earlier i.e. Rs. 4.50 lakh. Now on approximately more 5,000 students will be benefitted under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavlamban Yojna.
